Although a lot more common than when I was growing up, I have always wanted fun little trinkets that I could wear every day that would express who I was and what I liked. Something that was not generic, that I could not find at the local Walmart, so I started making my own jewelry! I started with earrings and made little potion bottles in all sorts of colors that would match my clothing. After that, I moved on to making dice earrings, even though I had seen some before; they were always a bit dull for me, and I knew I wanted to add a twist. So I have personally drilled into every pair of dice so that they would spin, and then color-matched and made little gems for them.
